How does an I KNOW! subscription work?
You subscribe as a member of the I KNOW! e-quiz club at R360 per year. You receive a total of 62 quizzes per year, in two programmes with different difficulty levels. These programmes are sent out according to a schedule. Read more below about What is I KNOW!
You also get a FREE copy of I KNOW! Quiz Crosswords 1, which consists of 65 quiz crosswords, with a total of 1 200 questions. It is sent by e-mail as a PDF document. You can print the crosswords and/or do them on the computer with software that you download. Click on examples of the crosswords below.

What is I KNOW!
- I KNOW! is a quiz programme that consists of 31 quizzes in two levels each (62 in total).
- Level 1 consists of 36 questions per quiz. It is for Grades 1 to 3.
A quiz consists of:
Quick Quiz: General Knowledge: 10 general knowledge questions as well as a Who, What, Where? question
Words: 5 vocabulary questions (mostly funny stories about people)
I KNOW!: 20 general knowledge questions with extra information.
- In Level 2/3 about 80 questions per quiz are divided into three categories, from EASY and MEDIUM to HARD. Learners of Grades 4 to 7 and high schools can try to go as far as they can.
There is a Who, What, Where? question
Conquer the Curriculum consists of questions that are compiled from textbooks used by learners.
General knowledge and curriculum in the news: About 70 questions cover the week’s world news, news about South Africa, entertainment and sport as well as general knowledge questions.
- The questions are multiple choice and the answers are in bold. Save a master copy of the quiz. Block the quiz and click on bold to unbold the answers. Use this as a questionnaire.
- I KNOW! is available in English or Afrikaans.
- I KNOW! e-quiz club members receive the quizzes on Fridays, according to the schedule.
- I KNOW! includes two quiz crosswords per term. These crosswords can be used for revision. Each term ends with an Olympiad that is also available on Quia.com as a competition for club members. There are also quiz games at Quia.com.
Good to KNOW!
- The I KNOW! quizzes are sent by e-mail in Word and PDF. As a bonus some of the questions are also presented as quiz games on I KNOW!’s quiz page at Quia.com. Each member receives a username and password.
- Each term you will receive a quiz on QuizCreator that can be done on the computer.
- The I KNOW! page at Quia.com is also used to have timed competitions for I KNOW! e-club members. Try the Olympiad at http://www.quia.com/quiz/3160606.html
- By installing Crossword Solver on your computer you can do some of the quiz crosswords on the computer.
- Some questions are presented in card and/or column format. It can be printed and cut out. Learners then ask each other the questions. Combine this with a board game that can also be printed. These cards improve learners’ reading skills.
- The I KNOW! quiz programme and I KNOW! Quiz Crosswords 1 are for your own use only. You may not provide them to schools or other members of the public.
- You can subscribe any time of the year, for one year.
- I KNOW! is 11 years old this year.
